Goals

Steps being taken to achieve the goals
Encourage students to maintain a high grade point average
  • Weekly grade checks for each participant
  • Constantly talk to students about the achieving success in the classroom
  • Speak with teachers about the students’ progress

Create a lifestyle of fitness and health

 

  • The program is open to students no matter what their background in athletics or talent level – there are no cuts
  • Provide students with information about nutrition and diet
  • Create appreciation of the ancient Greek concept of "sound mind, sound body"
  • Get students involved in a program that stresses responsibility, hard work, and positive behaviors
Teach students to set long term goals
  • Work with students to get them into college
  • Aim for future goals in athletics and set a training program to achieve them
  • Get students to focus on the importance of day to day attendance, promptness and the following of directions  in order to achieve good grades and athletic excellence
Create running program that is competitive on the state level
  • Train students in a rigorous, organized, expertly coached program.
  • Recruit the students at L.A.H.S. to join the program
  • Provide students with a winning environment that is supported by the community, alumni, school faculty and student body
